Circular Economy

What's Circular Economy?

Circular Economy is an economic model that aims to minimize waste and make the most of resources by keeping materials in use for as long as possible. Unlike the traditional “linear” model (take, make, dispose), the circular economy “closes the loop” by designing products for durability, repairability, and recyclability. This model focuses on:

  • Design for Longevity: Creating products that last longer and can be easily repaired or upgraded.

  • Resource Efficiency: Reducing waste from the start and reusing materials through recycling and remanufacturing.

  • Biological & Technical Cycles: Returning natural materials safely to the environment while recycling synthetic materials back into the economy.

  • Product-as-a-Service: Leasing or renting products to extend their life, with companies retaining responsibility for end-of-life recovery.

  • Renewable Energy & Energy Recovery: Supporting renewable energy and using waste-to-energy processes when recycling isn’t possible.

The circular economy conserves resources, reduces waste, and helps lower environmental impact while fostering sustainable economic growth and innovation.
